New Bird, my newest collection of poetry, is now available in paperback from Amazon, so head over to get your own copy today!
This new collection of poems continues in the tradition of drawing inspiration from the natural world as a means of exploring and reflecting on our own rich inner universe. Through images of oceans, forests, birds, the stars, and the very soil on which we stand, I want to invite readers to my own exploration of learning to both savor the joy and hold space for the heartbreak that arise, intertwined, within each moment.
How can we notice and care for our hearts with tenderness, compassion, and curiosity?
How might we find the courage to visit with our own darkness and find ways to anchor ourselves through the night, particularly when our belief that the dawn will come feels shaky at best?
By mining our own turbulent emotional landscape for beauty, we might not only get the chance to keep our own spirit burning brightly, but kindle someone else's.
If you have read the collection, I'd love to hear what your favorite poem is. And if you've read the book, I'd so appreciate if you would leave a review on Amazon in order to help new readers discover the book more easily!
