A friend posted this a few years back on Facebook, and these words have stuck with me ever since. Well, maybe they haven't fully stuck yet, because I do have a copy of this strategically placed in my little artist den at home. Ira Glass' words are such a good reminder that it is ok to be a beginner, ok to want to better than we are, and that sometimes all we need is just a little compassion for ourselves along the creative road we're walking on.
What's the best advice on creativity or self-compassion you've ever gotten?
