I love reading about creativity and thinking about creativity and learning about creativity. And? Sometimes, I need to motivate myself to stop reading and thinking and learning and just DO something I love. Good news! Instead of sending along links that might take you five, ten, or fifteen minutes to look through, on today’s edition of Motivation Monday, how about I give you permission to take the time you would have spent reading this post and the accompanying links and suggest that you use that time for actually making something or being playful?
The first few sentences to your next novel chapter? Write ‘em down.
A couple of bars of a song you’re learning? Belt ‘em out.
New cupcake recipe? Sift that flour, folks.
Whatever it is that you have been wanting to try (I know you have something, even if your inner critic keeps telling you it’s silly, unproductive, or far-fetched), take the next five to ten minutes and try it out. Then let me know how it goes!
Life is short and no amount of time is too short to do something we love to do. Go forth and make magic, my Friends!
